Maddie Meyer/Getty Images After interviewing  Monty Williams and  Tyronn Lue for their head coaching vacancy, the Los Angeles Lakers have turned their attention to Jason Kidd and Juwan Howard, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN. Kidd reportedly interviewed  for several hours Monday with  general manager Rob Pelinka and team executive Kurt Rambis. Howard is also set to interview with the Lakers, while Williams and Lue are expected to have follow-up meetings. Kidd has had an up-and-down career as a head coach following his playing days as a Hall of Fame point guard. In five seasons with the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks , he has a 183-190 record in the regular season and a 9-15 record in the playoffs. US expansion of global gag rule will ‘punish women’ worldwide

Washington, DC – The Trump administration’s decision to further expand the so-called “global gag rule” that bans foreign aid to groups providing or promoting abortion will “undermine the health and human rights of women and girls globally”, rights groups said on Tuesday. The rule is “sending a very clear signal to the rest of the world that the US is comfortable turning its back on the human rights of women and girls around the world”, Veronika Cernadas, a spokeswoman for the Center for Reproductive Rights told Al Jazeera. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on Tuesday that the US was furthering its expansion of the global gag rule by cracking down on NGOs that provide funding to other groups that provide or promote abortions. “We will refuse to provide assistance to foreign NGOs that give financial support to other foreign groups in the global abortion industry,” Pompeo told reporters. Report: Space Jam 2 Will Star Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson, More

Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported Davis, Damian Lillard and Klay Thompson will join LeBron James in the  Space Jam 2  cast. WNBA stars Diana Taurasi, Nneka Ogwumike and  Chiney Ogwumike are also slated for roles.  Additional NBA and WNBA players are also expected to be part of the cast. The film will begin production this summer and is scheduled to be released July 16, 2021. It’s been a long-rumored project that has been years in the making, with numerous starts and stops. The project was first   announced   in 2014 before going through numerous changes and ultimately   finalizing   its producers last year.  The 1996 original featured Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Shawn Bradley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson and Muggsy Bogues in the main cast.
